Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict (PSVI) Initiative Conference opens in London, bringing together 50+ ministers and 50+ survivors from around the world. Lord (Tariq) Ahmad of Wimbledon, the Prime Minister’s Special Representative on PSVI, gave the welcoming introduction, emphasising that “we need political will to tackle the prevalence and impunity for sexual violence in conflict.”
Mr. David Miliband, President of International Rescue Committee, was a keynote speaker and pointed out that there should be accountability for donors and NGOs. This does not exist yet.
