A key roundtable discussion took place in Baghdad where the next steps to further the Anti-Domestic Violence draft law was discussed. The discussion was led by Dr. Abdulbari, Member of Parliament and current Chairman of the Legal Committee, Ms. Haifa Alamin, Member of Parliament and Chairwoman of the Women’s Committee and Advocate Rejna Alaaldin.
Members of parliament, civil society, media and government representatives attended the meeting to develop strategies to counter bias against the draft bill.
